Conceived by Jewlia Eisenberg, founder of the band Charming Hostess. The interactive sound installation is based on sex and magic in “demon bowls,” amulets common in late-antique Babylon. Musical context for project is drawn from the female body, the rich traditions of the Babylonian Jews, and other diaspora sources, both Jewish and African.
